My Favourite Recipes

Introduction

Yeah yeah everybody and their dog wants to put their recipes on the internet these days. Why should anyone be interested in mine? The majority of the recipes on this page are good for you. There are some notable exceptions, like my favourite Yorkshire Pudding recipe. I included it here, because I know loads of people who can't get their puds to rise. The recipe here never fails, anyone can have huge fluffy Yorkshire Puddings
Fancy a ruby? "Oh I can't have a chicken tikka because I'm on a diet." I have lost count of the number of times I have heard this. Yes a lot of Indian dishes are full of butter and cream and are not very good for you. My favourite chicken tikka masala contains nothing bad for you and tastes just like (or better than) the full fat version from your local take-away.
Go on - spoil yourself.
I have added a basic curry sauce recipe for all who want to experiment. In Indian restaurants and take-aways, this sauce forms the base for most dishes on the menu. The sauce can be cooled and frozen, but because all the harmful preservatives and additives are missing, don't leave it too long. If you defrost it, use it that day.
